About Sammi

Samantha (Sammi) Flores (she/her), is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) at Addison Therapy Associates, under the supervision of Dr. Wendy Bates of ATA and Dr. Brandi Jean Felderhoff, LCSW-S, APHSW-C. Sammi proudly earned her Master of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. 

As a dedicated therapist, Sammi finds joy in working with individuals and groups. Her commitment to providing affirming and culturally considerate care is evident in her work with diverse populations, including but not limited to Hispanics/Latinxs and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Sammi's clinical interests and experience include trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, relational patterns, personality disorders, and mood disorders. Grounded in values that honor each client's unique journey, Sammi facilitates growth by meeting clients where they are, and collaboration is at the core of her therapeutic philosophy as she accompanies clients on their path to healing.

Trained in EMDR and currently undergoing training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Sammi integrates a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma Model Therapy.

Sammi's professional journey is a tapestry that includes roles as an educator, a social worker in reproductive health care, and work in community mental healthcare settings with families. Her versatile career, spanning both inpatient and outpatient settings, reflects a commitment to holistic and comprehensive mental health care. This diverse background enriches her therapeutic approach, ensuring a nuanced understanding of the complexities faced by individuals and families.

Beyond her professional commitments, Sammi finds balance in her personal life. Whether at the ceramics studio, practicing yoga, enjoying the outdoors with her dogs, or immersed in a good book, she values self-care and embraces a diverse range of interests.
