What it's like to sit with Myrna

Myrna Olaya is a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist providing therapy for couples, individuals, and families, with a specialization in bicultural and intercultural relationships and trauma recovery for women.

Her clinical approach is integrative and tailored to each client's goals, drawing on solution focused narrative therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Gestalt and relational approaches. Dr. Olaya is also EMDR trained for trauma processing. Much of her work centers on helping women heal from trauma and helping couples with a passion bridging those in two cultures build relationships where both partners feel seen and understood.

Beyond the therapy room, Dr. Olaya is a passionate speaker and advocate. She has presented at the Conference on Crimes Against Women and previously worked in the nonprofit sector supporting survivors of human trafficking, experiences that deepened her commitment to trauma-informed care.
