About Lindy
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of therapy. My own life-changing experience sparked a profound passion to help others discover long-lasting fulfillment. I am devoted to providing a non-judgmental, warm and empathetic environment where clients can connect deeply with themselves and discover meaning in their lives. This comes with challenging exploration, but I invite my clients to find safety in knowing that they are not facing these experiences alone.
My specialty lies in guiding those struggling with substance use and other addictive behaviors, including food, pornography, sex and love, video games, and gambling. Additionally, I have extensive experience helping individuals heal from various forms of trauma from combat PTSD to sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. I also have experience working with individuals who were formerly incarcerated and are struggling to transition into civilian life. I am trained in EMDR and integrate this modality into my practice to facilitate healing from these adversities.
My therapeutic approach blends humanistic and psychodynamic principles, complemented by DBT and CBT for coping mechanisms. I believe that many of our behaviors and internal beliefs derive from our childhood experiences. A combination of humanistic and psychodynamic therapy allows clients to recognize the power within themselves, explore how their past has influenced their current behavior and thought patterns, and use their inherent abilities from within to heal and navigate life in a direction that provides a deeper sense of meaning and fulfillment.
Through empathetic guidance, I empower clients to navigate life's challenges, cultivate meaningful relationships, and discover their authentic selves. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals can learn, heal, and grow.
